Description

This is a mold-formed votive head made out of clay. The facial structure suggests that the individual is a male, with a long “Roman” nose. The youthful male has curls that frame his face with a possible veil on top of the curls. This votive was found along with several other figurines such as KM 0000.00.1764 in the ancient city of Veii. The votive was likely hung as decoration based on the hole on the back of the object which would have been used to suspend the votive in some manner.
